  39. Let's hope it holds its own.  Otherwise, we're
  40. outa here.  Simple as that.  Developing and supporting
  41. Kermit software on the scale that its present usage
  42. demands is a full-time job for a certain number of
  43. people.  People need food, shelter, etc, and therefore
  44. need salaries.  The reality is, we need more people
  45. than we have now, not less, in order to support even
  46. the present level of usage.  Because of the "new
  47. spirit" of the Internet and the proliferation of
  48. "free software" CDROMS, the demands on our time are
  49. higher than ever and income is lower than ever.  The
  50. old model does not work any more.

  57. The dollar amount might differ from the one you propose,
  58. but not by much.  It won't break anybody's budget.
